Water Hydrant Systems
A fire hydrant system is the standalone fire fighter in any establishment.

A Hydrant system is basically water distribution network backed by a number of components & accessories like fire pumps, piping system, water tank etc. Designed and installed with strict adherence to the NFPA guidelines.

Water Hydrant

As fire hydrants and sprinkler systems are designed to douse large fires, particularly Class A fires, they form the backbone of any building’s firefighting strategy.

For such systems, water supply with sufficient pressure and flow is required at strategically located valves that in turn require proper assembly of a series of components together under expert supervision.

Fireworld provides UL/EN certified hydrants and sprinkler systems that are designed and installed with strict adherence to the NFPA guidelines.

Water Mist

Total flooding systems for generator protection, computer and server rooms and any application capable of protection using this unique media. The firefighting effectiveness of water is directly proportional to its surface area that comes into contact with fire.

Due to the microscopic droplet size (55 – 75 µm) achieved with this technology, the surface area of the water is greatly increased (by about x 2000 when the droplet size is 65 µm) and still has enough kinetic energy to overcome fire convection currents.

Dry and Wet Riser

Wet and dry risers are used by the Fire Service to extinguish fires promptly using considerable quantities of water. This system of valves and pipework enables the Fire Service to pump water onto upper floors of a building without having to make their way up. Therefore these systems are ideal for use in buildings that are over 18 metres above ground level, and in low level buildings with excessive distances (usually more than 60m) from the entrance.

FW team of engineers install, service and maintain wet and dry riser systems. Such systems must be visually inspected regularly and serviced annually.

Sprinklers

Sprinkler systems control fire by cooling the heat load and the air surrounding the fire. These fire-safety devices are usually installed on ceilings and upon fire detection they will release a water spray which extinguishes or controls the fire.

Sprinklers use a device which activates them when the temperature reaches a certain threshold. This device can be either a fusible substance that will melt at a certain temperature, or a glass bulb that contains liquid that will burst the bulb when heated. This allows a water pressure to be released from a plug and causes water to flow out through the sprinkler.

Sprinkler systems can be designed to activate individual sprinkler heads so that the water spray is only released where required, minimising water damage.

Hose Reels

Fire hose reels are located to provide a reasonably accessible and controlled supply of water to combat a potential fire risk, especially where an extinguisher may not provide adequate cover. Fire hose reels are suitable for all locations and are ideal for large, high risk environments such as schools, hotels, car parks, warehouses, factories, theatres, concert halls and large petrochemical areas, amongst others.

Fire Doors

Fire doors will compartmentalise your premises into areas, protecting the rest of the premises from the room/s in which the fire has broken out. FW supplies certified 60 – 120 minutes fire-rated timber and metal fire doors.

Fire Cabinets

Storing fire equipment in your work place or premises in fire resistant safety cabinets to suit your esthetic style greatly reduces the risk of fire damage. Fireworld supplies Swing reel design fire cabinets equipped with a reinforced rubber hose or flat nylon hose. Standard design for wall mounting and can be supplied upon request as a recessed type for in-wall fitting. The cabinet door hinges enabling it to swing up to 180°‎ and has a flexible design of two inlet holes for a water feeding pipe for easy connection to a water source.‎

Fire Extinguishers

Whilst advanced extinguishing systems are ideal for large business premises, fire extinguishers are ideal for smaller flames to be controlled or extinguished until assistance arrives. Different types of fire extinguishers including portable and mobile units can be used depending on the cause of the fire. We supply various different types of fire extinguishers in different sizes to suit your requirements.
