Flammable Gas Detection

  • Technology: Catalytic bead (pellistor), infrared (IR) point, open-path IR, photoionisation (PID)
  • Target gases: Methane (CH4), LPG, propane, butane, hydrogen, acetylene, VOCs
  • Measurement range: 0-100% LEL; 0-100 Vol% for high-concentration
  • ATEX rating: Ex ia/ib/d IIC T4/T5/T6, Zone 0, 1 and 2
  • Response time: T50 < 10s (catalytic); T90 < 15s (IR)

Toxic Gas Detection

  • Target gases: H2S, CO, NO2, SO2, NH3, Cl2, HCN, HF
  • Detection principle: Electrochemical (EC) or solid-state
  • Alarm levels: TWA, STEL and high-high configurable
  • ATEX rating: Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified
  • Suppliers: Drager, MSA, GMI, Crowcon, City Technology

Oxygen Detection

  • Measurement range: 0-25% v/v oxygen
  • Alarm levels: Low O2 warning (19.5% v/v) and danger alarm (16% v/v)
  • Principle: Electrochemical galvanic cell or paramagnetic

Open-Path & Acoustic Gas Detection

  • Open-path IR: 5-200m path length, CH4, LPG, H2 and multi-gas versions
  • Acoustic UGLD: Ultrasonic detection of high-pressure gas leaks, wind-independent
  • Siting study: CFD-based detector placement study offered as engineering service
